Thanksgiving weekend was spent in Washington, DC, a nostalgic spot for me. Aside from the reunion and wedding festivities (not my own!), I had a chance to pop over to the National Aquarium and the Hirshhorn Museum to see the latest exhibitions. As expected, both stops were inspiring- though one exhibit in particular, Color Forms, was fantastic. Being a bit of a color junkie, I’m forever exploring ways in which color is being used by artists, movements and technologies. Revealing the timeless nature of the rainbow, Olafur Eliasson, a Danish artist, born in 1967 created this installation, Round Rainbow, using only acrylic glass, an HMI spotlight, a motor and a tripod.
