Kate Bingaman-Burt is most famous for drawing her way out of debt. Four years ago she started Obsessive Consumption, illustrating every single purchase. She eventually left the red zone behind and made a book documenting the journey. When Kate’s not drawing, creating patterns, sewing or working on commissioned pieces, she’s an enthusiastic Assistant Professor of Graphic Design at Portland State University. In addition to teaching, Kate speaks at a variety of events about inspiration, making and thinking. Unsurprisingly, her twitter feed is a testament to that attitude.
